i shall post something more professional. wahahahahahaa. i shall blog something on something that im really knowledgable about. like.. the chinese music scene! yes! what an inspiring idea. =) ok la, i shall blog about mandopop. yay! please note its mandopop and not cantopop, im very blur about cantonese music. its like.. the song runs on the radio almost every hour and i am humming the tune and i can remember the lyrics, but i will never figure out whats the song's name the singer etc etc.
the chinese music industry is big. cz the market is big. cz chinese people are like scattered all over the world. but its mainly all poppy music that is famous and comercialised. many the the singers we get nowadays are pretty faces that doesnt really sing well. well but thats what the chinese music industry is all about. at least to me. easy and catchy tunes get famous, those tunes anyone with music basics can compose. neh.. like that song ar.. the song ar.. about what fairytale wan arhh.. yalo those type la. no doubt its catchy, but its boring after like 3-4 plays on loop. i often just change the radio channel when the song is up. hehe.
nevermind that aint my point. i have some all time favourites i wanna recommend..
1. jay chou (haha, yeah)
genre: various, mainly ballads, jay style rhythm tunes. (haha, i dont know what they call em)
my all time favourites: his old r&b songs, from his first 2 albums. and his ballads recently.
notes: he may be gross looking, arrogant and impolite (to me haha) but he makes good music.

its hard to find a nice picture when he doesnt look very nice.
2. david tao (i love i love i love. dont ask me why i knoe hes boring but i like him)
genre: r&b. bossanova. ballads.
my all time favourite: he has been around for like almost ten years i cannot remember. most of em though.
notes: i know i know. he hasnt been trying new genres, and his songs are all simple simple ny. but i love. i love. i love. i love. people say hes a copycat, he gets inspiration from other people's stuff but i dont care! i stll like him! and his music.

thank you thank you. bla bla shit. thank you evelyn for blogging about me.
3. mayday (i dunno why, im hooked)
genre: poprock softrock ballads.
all time favourite: ya guan, luan shi fu shen, xian yu, jue jiang, wen rou.
notes: i dont really know them well but i was going thru my wmp list and i figured that i really like them. i got their album last year for 15 bucks at a stock clearance at lot10. and eventually got hooked.

4. nan quan mama (their songs are the only songs me and xt and can sing together, the whole thing without stopping from track to track album to album, haaha)
genre: various.
all time favourite: all of em?! hahahaaha i guess.
notes: jay chou has a real weird sense of picking names! haha. his kids would suffer someday if he gives his kid a weird name like.. nan quan mama. hahaaa. they are said to have the jay chou shadow when they first debut as the 1st generation, but i think the 2nd generation they succeeded ditching the shadow haha. i love zhang jie.. *drools.

first gen! (l-r) gary, dantou, yuhao, jupao. 1st gen was jay-ish.

2nd gen! yay loves. (l-r) dantou, yuhao, lara, zhangjie. evolved into somethin more poppy.

(l-r) yuhao, lara, dantou, zhangjie.

6. gary chaw (aw, the sweetest guy everr! $#^$#! the nicest celeb in history!)
genre: ballads.
all time favourite: he has only one album to date. loves all of his songs. ah muacks.
notes: hes MALAYSIAN, went to CANADA for a while and studied in NEWZEALAND. hahaa chunted! hes the most humble celeb omg. he has 2 cats living with him in taipei. ah how cuute a cat person!

okay la he aint that hot but he sings. and has personality.

ey, that mark on his arm is the baby injection or isit pcg injection!?

meow. ling. the cat's name. he has a very chunted tattoo on his back but apparently
i cannot find any pictures of it. = (
wang leehom and jj lin isnt in my list. haha. so i guess i wasnt really that into leehom, i get bored of his songs. sorry lah i oso dunno why. chinked-out is a chunted term, but i dont really get it.. is it a term for chinese hiphop / hiphop+chinese opera?! jj lin? aish i've always thought i like him. wait, i do! its just that hes not one of the all time favourites. i cannot bare lisening to his album without pressing the next button once in a while. so thats why. haha. yeah. thinking of it.. i've never bought any of leehom's and jjlin's cds la. hahaha. and hor, all of em in my list are boys! ok la got one girl. i dunno, but i've always thought that girls can never sing as well as guys. girls can never have those kinda real, downtoearth, humble voice that would mencangkul the feelings deep down in ur heart. of cos oso not all of the male singers have those kinda voice la. female singers have voices that are very commercialised lidat wan lo. neh, maybe its just me. hehe.
